Il Gurn is an independent curator, art critic and creative producer based in London. His expansive interest is rooted in contemporary culture, touching upon themes such as aesthetics, modes of expression, creativity, belief systems, layering of meanings, lexicology, etc…
He studied Art Management at MASTERS School of Arts, Audiovisual Arts at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications (UTB, Czech Republic) and Business Administration at Baltic State University in St. Petersburg. Since then, his multidisciplinary practices have been informed by visual- and digital art, literature, speculative theories, human behaviour, spiritual practices, as well as the territories that lie around these domains.
He has curated and co-curated exhibitions across the world, including Stations of Life: the Way of the Cross (2026, London), Every Madonna Once Was a Child (2026, London), Steps (2025, London), Bursting into Flame (2024, London), Psychotherapist for AI (2023, St. Petersburg), In The Name of Liberated Art (2023, Ovre Metaverse), Digital Extravaganza (2022, Dubai), Fantom (2022, Ovre Metaverse), and others.
In 2025, he founded Eee3x, a boutique event agency committed to playing a positive role in the cultural understanding of experience design and proud of delivering people-centric, community-focused activities.
In 2021-2023, he worked as a curatorial director for the IT company Ovre and launched the first curated digital art platform on Fantom network, featuring 100+ artists. He was also appointed as an art consultant for Fantom Foundation and editor-in-chief for the in-house zine, focused on digital art.
Between 2019 and 2021, he worked as a creative producer for Saint-Petersburg Fashion Week, leading the cross-media production for the international fashion event that engaged over 3 million viewers online and offline.
Between 2016 and 2019, he worked as a creative director for the video production company Lava Gedeon Studio, developing creative strategies for a diverse portfolio of commercials, short films and live events.
